Receive Your Expert Training

What makes us stand out from our competitors is that we have trained staff, actually living in the same cities as our retired customers. This allows us to offer far more personalized and effective service because our franchisees have real relationships with our business partners and affiliates.

To get you started, we have two assistance phases each of our franchisees will receive:

Phase I – Training from our headquarters in Burlington, Ontario

In a combination of In-person and Virtual trainings, Phase 1 instructions will cover administrative, operational, sales & marketing matters, and will also include a liberal amount of on-the-job training, so you come away with a solid understanding of the services we offer.

Phase II – In-depth training at your location
Next, we come to you! An experienced trainer from Retirement Home Referral Services will provide on-site training for a period of up to one week to help you get up and running.

Refresher Training
On a yearly basis, we also offer a two-day update training session at our HQ in Ontario.

What we offer our franchisees:

Best of all, you don’t need a significant up-front investment to get your RHRS business started. Because our franchise model is sales and marketing-oriented, and we already have excellent software and systems in place, you can start from a home office, working remotely and without the need for any additional staff.

Your role will primarily include establishing and building relationships with local businesses and individuals in your area.

Franchising FAQs

The upfront Franchise Fee is $35,000. It is paid upon signing of the Franchise Agreement and includes your training and onboarding as a franchise.

Royalty on Gross Sales: 8%
Local Advertising on Gross Sales: (Up To) 10%
Corporate Marketing Fund: 1%

In our case, territories are defined according to the population density of 125,000 households in the vicinity of a hospital and in proximity to 10 retirement homes. Additional metrics include the general geographical market, the existence of competitors, and several other factors.

RHRS franchisees should have the following qualities:

  • Natural sales ability. Our business thrives because our team has built such strong relationships with their local clients.
  • Great time management. With the fast pace of the industry, you can expect to be kept busy!
  • High personal standards. Delivering exceptional service with honesty and integrity must be important to you.
  • A background in Healthcare. (not required but this would be a bonus) With an understanding of Management, RN, RPN, PSW, worked as a hospital volunteer, or worked with Seniors and their families.
